Goldsky Station runs Goldsky's blockchain data stack on-prem, in a VPC in your cloud account or on your own hardware. It covers ingestion, real-time processing, storage, and query, so the data your settlement, trading, and risk systems depend on can stay entirely inside your infrastructure. Goldsky can manage the deployment, or your team can run it.

Why institutions need blockchain data infrastructure they control

Your infrastructure is only as resilient as its dependencies. When your application depends on blockchain data, your infrastructure can't stop. A stalled indexer can freeze user balances, delay settlement, or break reconciliation. It can leave trades executing against stale prices or reports built on incomplete data. Your systems need to keep working even when an upstream service doesn't.

Managed data platforms have made blockchain applications much easier to build. But that convenience often has a cost: your critical infrastructure runs entirely outside your control.

Today, onchain data powers a wide range of systems. These include settlement flows for stablecoins and other digital assets, as well as trading systems, risk engines, and user-facing products. These applications depend on continuous ingestion, indexing, and data availability. When that pipeline runs on a centralized managed service, its availability becomes a source of third-party and concentration risk that your team can't directly influence.

Institutions and teams running business-critical systems should be able to define their own availability architecture. They should decide where their data lives, how it's replicated, and how it recovers.

What is Goldsky Station?

Goldsky Station is an on-premises deployment of Goldsky's blockchain data infrastructure. It packages the same technology behind Goldsky's hosted platform into a deployment you run in your own environment, either in a VPC in your cloud account or your own hardware:

  • Blockchain data ingestion from the chains your application depends on
  • Real-time processing with Streamling (opens in a new tab)
  • Historical data storage and retrieval
  • Query and serving infrastructure for your applications
  • Optional Prism (opens in a new tab) integration for storage and historical datasets
  • Goldsky-managed or self-managed deployment options

Station is a new way to deploy Goldsky. You can run the complete stack. Or you can run selected components alongside Goldsky's existing hosted infrastructure. The two are fully interoperable. It depends on how much you want to operate on-prem.

On-premises vs hybrid: two ways to deploy blockchain infrastructure

Station supports two primary models: on-prem and hybrid. The first is a fully on-prem deployment. The second is a hybrid model that builds on Goldsky's hosted historical data. Both run ingestion, processing, and serving in your environment, differing in where historical data lives.

On-premises deployment

In a fully on-premises deployment, every component of the pipeline runs inside your infrastructure boundary:

Goldsky On-Prem Architecture

Data flows from blockchain sources through ingestion and real-time processing in Streamling. It then lands in storage. From there, it moves out through query and API layers to your application. Storage can use Prism or an alternative backend that fits your environment. Optionally, Goldsky can provide operational management from outside the boundary. The data path itself, however, stays within your infrastructure.

When paired with blockchain data sources you operate or source independently (such as your own nodes), this architecture lets you run the full ingestion-to-query stack without depending on Goldsky's hosted data platform.

Hybrid deployment

Not every team needs to run the entire stack on-prem. The hybrid architecture splits the work. Readers and processing infrastructure run on-prem. For historical data, you draw on Goldsky's existing datasets.

Hybrid on-prem

This gives you control over processing, serving, and access patterns without having to backfill and store full chain history yourself. Because historical storage remains hosted by Goldsky, this architecture still carries a dependency on Goldsky's platform. It's a way to take on more control incrementally.

Both models share the same principle. You choose how much infrastructure to operate on-prem.

Built for resilience, control, and compliance

Resilience

Station reduces your dependency on externally managed data infrastructure. The stack runs in your environment, so you can design your own redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery strategies. You can then align them with the uptime, availability, and business-continuity requirements of your application and regulators.

Control

Run the full stack on-prem, in your VPC or on your own hardware. You control deployment configuration, network access, credentials, access control, monitoring, and who operates it. In a fully on-prem deployment, your data stays in infrastructure you own, giving you full data ownership.

Compliance

Financial institutions and other regulated organizations must meet strict requirements for their blockchain workloads, covering security, data residency, and governance. Customer-controlled deployments make these requirements easier to meet.

In an on-prem deployment, data and processing stay inside infrastructure already covered by your governance policies, access controls, and audit logging. In hybrid, processing and serving stay on-prem and historical data comes from Goldsky.

Deployment location alone doesn't guarantee compliance. But Station puts your security and compliance teams in charge. They decide where data resides, who can access it, and how activity is logged and audited.

Efficient infrastructure, predictable economics

Running infrastructure on-prem shouldn't mean inheriting the complexity and expense of traditional distributed data systems.

Station is built on Streamling (opens in a new tab), Goldsky's open-source stream processing engine. In our announcement, we reported over 30x lower compute consumption than Flink in a benchmarked Kafka-to-ClickHouse workload, and over 20x faster startup times. Results will vary by workload. But they reflect a design built for scalability and for doing more with less.

That efficiency translates directly into infrastructure economics. On-prem deployments let you pay for the infrastructure you run. That means you aren't relying purely on per-query pricing. As a result, costs become more predictable as usage grows, making it easier to budget and plan capacity.

Station can be managed by Goldsky, or managed by you

Every Station deployment runs in your environment, on-prem or hybrid. But you can choose who operates it:

  • Goldsky-Managed: Goldsky helps deploy, operate, monitor, and maintain Station within your infrastructure. You keep ownership of the environment; we bring the operational expertise.
  • Self-Managed: Your team deploys and operates the components directly. Goldsky can provide optional support.

Managed deployments are tailored enterprise engagements. We don't offer automated self-service provisioning. Instead, we work with each customer to design a deployment that fits their environment, requirements, and operating model.
