At Goldsky, we’re committed to creating the best tools available for builders working with blockchain data. Today, we’re thrilled to begin rolling out access to Mirror — a powerful data pipeline solution that streams onchain data to your offchain database, all in realtime.
The Next Generation of Blockchain Indexing
With Mirror, you get live onchain data synced directly to your backend database. Instead of calling an API dozens of times to access the data you need, Mirror automatically syncs every block, log, trace, and transaction into a dedicated table within your existing infrastructure. By pushing data as soon as it becomes available (not pulling, as with an API), Mirror gives you a realtime view of onchain activity in your own database, dramatically reducing querying costs while removing engineering complexity.
Mirror allows you to do more sophisticated tasks with your data that weren’t possible before. Build richer experiences for end users using queries that are too complex for standard APIs, merge data from multiple chains into a single repository to power your application, or generate advanced dashboards without worrying about caching or data integrity issues.
One of the greatest advantages of Mirror is the ability to seamlessly combine onchain data with offchain data. Whether you’re looking to map onchain transactions to customer data, track product analytics alongside trading volume, or consolidate token holdings with an offchain asset portfolio, Mirror is flexible enough to handle nearly any use case imaginable.
Define Your Data, Then Stream it Anywhere
Creating your first Mirror pipeline is easy and straightforward. Start by defining a data source, transform that data to fit your needs, and then persist the results into a variety of compatible sinks. Mirror allows you to configure your pipeline so that you only sync the data required for your project.
Data sources can include subgraphs, decoded / raw data streams, or specialized NFT datasets for ERC-721
and ERC-1155
tokens. Decoded data streams make blockchain data human-readable and easier to query, while raw data streams give you more control over how you use the data.
Mirror provides out-of-the-box support for a wide range of database connectors, including Postgres, Clickhouse, Rockset, Timescale, and Elasticsearch. Integrations with AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, and Kafka are also available for more advanced use cases. Unsure which sink is right for you? Check out our guide for finding the best option here.
Fully Indexed Onchain Data, Powered by Goldsky
Mirror uses the same trusted data infrastructure you’ve come to expect from Goldsky. We offer indexing coverage across most major EVM-compatible chains, with additional chain support added on a regular basis.
Onchain data indexed by Goldsky is ultra-low latency and reorg aware, with any necessary backfills handled automatically. We handle the complex data engineering challenges so that you can focus on building the things that matter.
