Editorial disclosure

Goldsky writes and publishes this page, and Goldsky is one of the vendors rated here. Every rating, including Goldsky’s, comes from the public sources linked on this page. Goldsky applies the same rules to every vendor. Goldsky does not accept payment from a vendor to appear on this page or to change a rating.

Coverage by layer

Each cell answers one question: does this vendor ship a product in this layer? Two layers link to the page that grades depth inside them. The fact behind every cell sits in the vendor cards below the table.

Alchemy

RPC nodesYes
RPC API, branded Supernode, covering Ethereum, EVM chains, and Solana.[1]
RPC caching or CDNNo
Alchemy publishes no separate caching or CDN product in front of RPC. Supernode is its RPC node product.[2]
Indexed data REST APIYes
Data APIs cover Portfolio, Token, Transfers, Prices, and NFT, all pre-indexed.[3]
Subgraph hostingNo
Alchemy Subgraphs was sunset on December 8, 2025.[4]
Managed streaming pipelinesPartial
Notify and Custom Webhooks push events to a customer endpoint. There is no direct connector into a customer Postgres or Kafka.[5]
Prebuilt datasetsPartial
Data APIs are pre-indexed query endpoints, not a downloadable or queryable dataset product.[3]
Oracles or offchain computeNo
Oracle-named apps on the Dapp Store are third-party listings, not Alchemy products.[6]

Allium

RPC nodesYes
Allium Nodes gives direct peer access. Access is sales-gated.[7]
RPC caching or CDNNo
No caching or CDN layer is published as a separate product.[8]
Indexed data REST APIYes
Allium Developer serves decoded wallet balances, token prices, and transactions across 20+ chains.[9]
Subgraph hostingNo
Allium positions pre-decoded schemas as an alternative to subgraph indexing, not as a Graph-protocol-compatible service.[10]
Managed streaming pipelinesYes
Datastreams writes into Kafka, Pub/Sub, SNS, and websockets that the customer owns.[8]
Prebuilt datasetsYes
Allium Datashares delivers native tables into the customer’s own warehouse, from 85+ chains and 10,000+ protocols.[11]
Oracles or offchain computeNo
A Market Data API in alpha serves blended prices over REST. It is not an onchain oracle.[9]

Chainstack

RPC nodesYes
Global Nodes and Managed Dedicated Nodes, across 70+ networks.[17]
RPC caching or CDNPartial
Unlimited Node is a flat-fee, RPS-tiered add-on. It works as a non-metered access layer, and Chainstack does not describe it as a cache or CDN product.[18]
Indexed data REST APINo
The product list covers RPC, archive data, gRPC streaming, and a platform-management API, not an indexed onchain-data REST API.[19]
Subgraph hostingNo
Chainstack Subgraphs has been deprecated since February 1, 2026. Chainstack states that customers moved to Ormi.[20]
Managed streaming pipelinesPartial
Yellowstone gRPC, the Geyser plugin, streams real-time data. It covers Solana only.[21]
Prebuilt datasetsNo
The Marketplace lists infrastructure add-ons and third-party integrations, not ready-made onchain datasets.[22]
Oracles or offchain computePartial
Chainstack documents reading prices from third-party Chainlink oracle contracts over its own RPC nodes. It publishes no oracle product of its own.[23]

Goldsky

Publisher
RPC nodesYes
Edge RPC serves raw JSON-RPC for EVM networks over HTTPS.[24]
RPC caching or CDNYes
Boost is a CDN for JSON-RPC over HTTPS. It sits in front of the provider the customer already uses, and it is a separate product from Edge RPC.[25]
Indexed data REST APIYes
Feeds serves pre-indexed wallet balances, transfer history, and token metadata and prices across 8 EVM chains.[26]
Subgraph hostingYes
Subgraphs runs graph-node-spec hosted indexing with a GraphQL API.[27] The coverage matrix shows 102 chains with Subgraphs support on mainnet.[29]
Managed streaming pipelinesYes
Turbo pipelines deliver reorg-aware, at-least-once data into customer-controlled Postgres, ClickHouse, MySQL, Kafka, and S3, across EVM plus Solana, Bitcoin, Stellar, NEAR, Movement, and Hypercore.[28]
Prebuilt datasetsPartial
Turbo standard datasets cover Blocks, Logs, Enriched Transactions, Traces, and curated derived sets. They are pre-defined schemas streamed through a pipeline, not a pre-populated warehouse.[29]
Oracles or offchain computeYes
Compose is Goldsky’s oracle product. It runs custom oracles, price feeds, VRF, and keepers as code. Goldsky publishes oracle guides, including a Bitcoin oracle and a NAV oracle. Compose is on the Scale plan.[30]

QuickNode

RPC nodesYes
Core RPC API, across 77+ chains and 130+ networks.[31]
RPC caching or CDNNo
No caching or CDN layer is published as a separately named product.[31]
Indexed data REST APIPartial
SQL Explorer gives REST and SQL access to indexed trades and positions. It covers Hyperliquid Mainnet only and is in beta.[32]
Subgraph hostingNo
No subgraph product is named in QuickNode’s own product overview.[34]
Managed streaming pipelinesYes
Streams is a push-based, vendor-managed pipeline with guaranteed delivery and reorg handling.[35]
Prebuilt datasetsPartial
SQL Explorer ships 40+ prebuilt queries over 37 tables. It covers Hyperliquid only.[33]
Oracles or offchain computePartial
QuickNode Functions is serverless edge compute, and QuickNode’s own docs say it will be deprecated. Chainlink price feeds appear only as Marketplace integrations.[36]

The Graph

RPC nodesNo
A Blockchain JSON-RPC Data Service sits on the roadmap, entering the research stage in Q3 2026. It has not shipped.[37]
RPC caching or CDNNo
No caching or CDN layer is published.[37]
Indexed data REST APINo
The Token API link on thegraph.com now redirects to Pinax Network, a separate company. The Graph’s own site lists no REST data API.[38]
Subgraph hostingYes
Subgraph Studio and The Graph Network.[39]
Managed streaming pipelinesPartial
Substreams sinks reach Postgres, ClickHouse, and Kafka. Hosted Sinks is a beta and covers Postgres and ClickHouse only. Kafka and private databases need a customer-run sink.[40]
Prebuilt datasetsNo
The Amp SQL Platform sits on the roadmap for Q4 2026. It has not shipped.[37]
Oracles or offchain computeNo
The roadmap oracles are internal indexer-reward mechanisms, not a customer-facing oracle or offchain-compute product.[37]

Method

Each layer is marked Yes, No, or Partial from a cited public source. Partial means the vendor has something in the layer that does not match the full definition, for example one chain only, a beta, a deprecated product, or one data type. There are no totals and no ranking. Vendors appear in alphabetical order. Goldsky applies the same criteria and the same kind of source to every vendor, including itself.

Where a vendor publishes two different figures for the same fact, this page uses the lower one. Goldsky rechecks every source when it changes a price, a chain count, or a product claim, and at least once a quarter.

A custom oracle defined in code
GoldskyCompose runs price feeds, NAV oracles, VRF, and keepers as code.[30]
A CDN in front of an RPC provider you already pay for
GoldskyBoost is the only Yes in that layer.[25]
Subgraph hosting and managed pipelines from one vendor
GoldskyThe Graph marks Yes on subgraph hosting and Partial on managed pipelines.[40]

FAQ

Seven vendors across seven layers of the onchain data stack: RPC nodes, RPC caching or CDN, indexed data REST API, subgraph hosting, managed streaming pipelines, prebuilt datasets, and oracles or offchain compute.
Yes means the vendor ships a product that matches the layer. Partial means the vendor has something in the layer that does not match the full definition, for example one chain only, a beta, a deprecated product, or one data type. No means nothing is published.
This page records coverage, not quality. A layer is present or it is not. The two scored pages, subgraph hosting and blockchain data pipelines, grade depth inside a single layer.
No. Goldsky marks Yes on six layers and Partial on prebuilt datasets. Every other vendor has at least two No marks.
Goldsky rechecks every cited source when a vendor ships, deprecates, or renames a product, and at least once a quarter. The Checked date at the top of the page is the last full recheck.

Each claim links to the page it came from, with the date Goldsky checked it. Vendors change pricing and chain support without notice. A stale citation is a bug. Email [email protected] and Goldsky will fix it.
